happy moments like showers in bonheurs Petits
As we begin this message, it's Monday, day of the workshop with the mothers of Mesa Verde This is the end of the afternoon and I find it strange to think that must be all asleep (there are six hours between Bolivia and Europe)!
The workshop this afternoon deserves to be counted! Last week, the mothers were given the desire to "roast chicken." Coline and I planned to do a workshop "cakes", but as chickens and cakes did not seem be a menu reasonable (especially in mid-afternoon), had negotiated with the trocar moms cake shop for a new "workshop salads." But this time it was green salad, much less consistent than the first workshop (whose salads were made from cereals). I had planned four salads and taken some risks putting fruit in the composition of two of them. There was careful to include in each one or two ingredients rich in proteins and lipids, both to avoid colliding with the mothers as for the food stays balanced. The four were salads pineapple / grapefruit / avocado, apple / nut / egg, avocado / carrot / tomato / chicken and cheese / egg / cucumber.
When I arrived, mothers had already begun: They had put the chicken legs to soak in a large dish with lemon juice, soy sauce and mustard. Once all legs drenched in sauce, put the oven and settled in the tables where they were ready recipes and ingredients for the workshop. I was afraid that my salad "not persuaded" but, on the contrary, all showed very curious to experience the mixtures and the workshop was good and the most beautiful thing remained: After all salads ready, we announce that we moms brought copies of the recipes of the workshops for each of them!
I really think they were happy because they were quick to go look for recipes that had provisions in line to each compose your wallet. I got to the top of the line to enter the name of each mother in her folder, because not everybody can write well, and then because even though it was the eighth workshop, I still do not know the names of all. The funniest thing was seeing them retell their recipes to ensure you have not forgotten any. Then, each in their turn came to ask us to sign and I Coline their wallets for a few minutes Workshop became autograph session! I could not believe it ...
then decided to do a group photo! Since the beginning of the workshops, mothers turned their face As we approached to take pictures, but this week her attitude seemed to change. I think the fact that he started to teach the photo taken just after it gave them confidence in any case, if the first photos of moms group seemed intimidated, after a few clicks the atmosphere appeared relaxed and smiling! I think the workshop was more beautiful than we did ...
To talk about something else other than food, I'll tell you my last weekend. Like the previous weekend had hardly slept because we had gone to a rave party that had stretched through Sunday night, last week decided to do something else quiet. On Saturday, Charlotte and I went camping in the "seven falls" on which we did not know much but that few people managed to climb all. Not very reassuring: Just before we left, Lukas, an Argentine who works with us, began to tell scary stories about tourists who had completed stabbed or robbed when they camped in the Cascades. To avoid suffering the same fate, Lukas advised us to camp in higher waterfalls, easily accessible at night ... Although his advice is sought tranquilizers, to leave home any of us were quiet. But we went anyway. Once
the site, thinking that the falls should be higher up the mountain, we started up a small creek located below. As we had not seen a road bordering the stream, waterfall as we climbed poop. Even though there were very large, with our sleeping bags, tent, plus our backpacks and bags provision not seemed very capable. When we got to the third waterfall, we found three Germans who helped us stock up cascading waterfall. To our great surprise in the fourth cascade are a group of young Bolivian doing a barbecue on the edge of it. After a few minutes we realized that there was another way to access waterfalls, much less dangerous than he'd made and that allowed direct access to the fourth waterfall ...
As much as I tried to climb the fourth waterfall was too dangerous for the scale with our bags, and as the stone floor third is not allowed to plant tent, we had to turn back. As the daylight began to decline, the Bolivians who had finished their barbecue and they were to return to Sucre in the car, we pointed the finger where she was the only inn of the place: the other side of the valley (luckily not too big) . After an hour, we arrived before a kind of finance like a citadel with walls mini and a nice bridge for access. It was the gardener who received us and to our great luck, let us camping on the lawn of the hostel for 10 pesos each (ie 1 euro). We had a bit of supplies and necessary for the appetizer, access to toilets, and even light up the tent ... what more to ask? Moreover we were so tired at ten and slept like babies all! The next day we had to walk again one hour before reaching the town where the bus returned by noon Our discussions with the outfielder they confirmed that it was a good idea not to sleep in the waterfalls, several tourists had been blackmailed to steal cameras, money and even clothes the week before our arrival! The seven waterfalls seem to be a perfect trap for tourists!
On Sunday night, Mickael (my roommate) and I went to a folk rock concert. It was very good. The band played on a small stage erected in the middle of a street (which fortunately ended up cutting off circulation). Bolivians dancing in a row and took "tea tea" (ie you with singer: a strong and fairly inexpensive alcohol similar to Chilean pisco, that most of the time it takes to Sprite but it was delicious tea mixed with cinnamon) . Besides the band, it was La Paz, was good. In the end, folk rock was necessary to understand "traditional music modernized" traditional instruments (flute, charango, panpipes) were accompanied by two electric guitars, and was very good!
This week went by so fast as an arrow. During the day, when I'm not in libraries, I prepare my workshops. By the way, great news: Today is born "Eva's passion," a fruit mounted on three legs, made of paper mache, wire and balloon My workshop vegetables and fruit from the Andes in paper mache soon to get started! I also encourage two mini workshops: one carry a game of seven families of food, on the other produce food storage canisters in the kitchen of Villa Harmony. Added to the workshop "cooking" with the mothers of Mesa Verde and "balanced breakfast" with the children of Villa Harmony ... not little! Children, shy at first, now we know better and are often eager to know what we brought.
Two afternoons a week accompanying Charlotte aerobics classes in a school gym. The machines are old, the walls covered with posters of bodybuilders who are really afraid, the stairs are wooden and are a bit cramped, but the teacher is very dynamic and warm atmosphere, also makes good vent! Respect las clases de Quen, por el momento las he dejado, pero pienso volver a tocar en los próximos días ¿Pero porque solo los días 24 horas duran?
Un abrazo, hasta la vista y cuidense mucho
Marion
